Trained in cultural studies, I have always been curious about approaches to things. As an associative and analytical thinker, I enjoy making connections and working across disciplines.
7 years in public and private sectors gave me valuable skills in engaging with stakeholders strategically. While organising creative projects outside work, I saved up for graduate school in museum studies so I could pursue my love of arts and culture professionally as a career.
My curatorial interests include global histories of modern and contemporary art, design and architecture. I am now assistant curator of the Art Works in Schools project at Manchester Art Gallery, working between curatorial and learning teams to revisit a loan collection 100 years ago and test using artworks for creative learning in schools, colleges and alternative provision settings. Before this I worked at the Whitworth where I facilitated loans for major touring exhibitions and from the Designated Collections.

I’m just curious how someone like Tony Wilson can have so much love for a city, and how he poured his love and pride for the place to create something that was unimaginable, at quite a tumultuous period of time.
